Tangrams are strangely addictive. This ancient Chinese game looks simple, but, like all truly sophisticated games, it’s much harder than it looks. The theory is that seven shaped, flat pieces of Perspex can be made into shapes to represent almost anything. A book of solid black outlines – animals, figures, boats, buildings and more – accompanies each set. All you have to do is make your tangram set match the shapes in the book. Irresistible!
